The annual Isle of Wight Randonnee will be taking place on Sunday 6th September.

This fun and challenging event always provides colour and spectacle to the Floating Bridge crossing as upwards of 3,000 cyclists cross from Cowes to East Cowes on the day.

As a consequence, loading times at Cowes and disembarking times at East Cowes might take longer than usual, although for most crossings the maximum number of cyclists using the Floating Bridge will be limited to 120.

However, at peak times, some crossings from Cowes may be restricted to cyclists and foot passengers only to ease bike congestion. Floating Bridge staff may have to make a decision ‘on the spot’ and we apologise if this causes inconvenience to any motorists.
