From 13 May 2017

  • Saver Cards are accepted on the floating bridge for foot passengers and cyclists. Once registered online these give discounted travel on the floating bridge.
  • Prices for foot passengers and cyclists go up to £1.50 return, from £1.00. If you buy a Saver Card you can travel for the discounted rate of £1.00, which represents a 30% saving.
  • Saver Cards are now also be valid for vehicles, as well as foot passengers. The old ‘voucher books’ are no longer available to buy but vouchers will be accepted.
  • Vehicle prices will change – see below.

SAVER CARD

  • IDEAL FOR: Locals and regular ferry users
  • COST: Discounted rates
  • SUMMARY: Buy your card from SpyVelo or Halls Convenience Store, register it online, top up with credit, use the card to travel at a discounted rate.
  • ADVANTAGES: Manage your account online, add multiple cards to your account, cancel lost or stolen cards, auto top up and fast boarding. The cheapest way to travel.

Option 2
MOBILE WEB APP

  • IDEAL FOR: Visitors and irregular users
  • COST: Pay as you go
  • SUMMARY: Go to iowfb.uk choose your vehicle type, enter your mobile number and hit go. Your phone will then display a barcode ticket that the ferry crew will scan once you are onboard. The cost of the ticket will be charged to your phone bill with no extra charges. There is an option to pay via PayPal instead of your mobile if you prefer.
  • ADVANTAGES: You do not need to leave your car. It is the same price as the ticket machine. Tickets can be purchased up to 7 days before travelling.

Please be considerate of others in the queue and exercise care when entering/exiting your vehicle.

  • ADVANTAGES: No need to queue at the machine (and maybe miss the floating bridge). Buy before you arrive at the slipway – up to 7 days in advance.

Option 3
FIXED TICKET MACHINES

  • IDEAL FOR: Occasional users and visitors
  • COST: Pay as you go
  • SUMMARY: Walk to top of slipway and buy a ticket from the fixed ticket machines. Board when instructed
