Floating Bridge returns to service on Tuesday 20th October

We are pleased to inform you that the Floating Bridge will return to service at 0500 on Tuesday 20th October. Thank you for your patience over the last few months whilst engineers have undertaken essential repairs to the hydraulic system on the vessel.

We would like to remind you that all passengers must observe social distancing whilst travelling on the Floating Bridge. As it is mandatory for anybody travelling on public transport to wear a face covering, we will adopt the social distancing measure of one metre +.

The interior passenger accommodation will accommodate 27 foot passengers and 28 foot passengers will be permitted on the upper deck. In order to transport foot passengers at busy times, we will permit 38 foot passengers on the car deck, separated from vehicles by barriers.

Please listen to staff who will direct foot passengers to the relevant area of the vessel. Passengers will notice round stickers and spots indicating where they must stand or sit.

Once again, please note that Social and physical distancing has proven to be an effective method of reducing the infection rate of COVID-19, and it is essential that the social distancing rules are respected when waiting to board the Floating Bridge, whilst aboard the Floating Bridge and when disembarking from the Floating Bridge.

Thank you for your continued support and we look forward to welcoming you aboard the Floating Bridge.
